Glenorchy Veterinary Services
Companion Animals and Working Dogs:
We have a wealth of knowledge in companion animal care and working dog health. We are available to provide health and dental checks, vaccinations, microchipping, worming and flea treatments, as well as pet food.
Arthritis assessments (non-radiographic) and weight-loss consults are available, providing individualised care tailored to your pet. Given advance notice we can provide prescription animal medications as well as carry-out non-urgent bloodwork and monitoring.
Other services include reproductive care (artificial insemination), however please note that Rhiannon is only available on Wednesdays which may not tie in with your breeding requirements.
Farm: Sheep, Beef and Deer
Glenorchy Vets are passionate about helping to optimise your stock health and reach your farming goals. We can work with you to formulate tailored annual animal health programmes; carry out faecal egg count and reduction tests and perform trace element testing. Other services include ram palpation, vasectomisation and blood testing, de-horning and minor field surgery. We provide advice on and supply of vaccinations, drench, dip and trace element supplementation. Please note, Rhiannon has the skillset to pregnancy test cattle and deer – please let us know if you would be interested in this service as we gauge interest throughout the local community for a large animal ultrasound.
Equine:
Expert veterinary care is vital to equine health and vitality. Rhiannon can provide general practice services including health checks, vaccination, parasite control and medical consultations.
Arthritis and weight management are just as important for our four-legged friends in supporting a long, happy life. Advanced care necessitating digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, full lameness work-up or in-house bloodwork require referral.
Lifestyle Animals:
Thorough and dedicated veterinary care is just as crucial for our chickens, alpacas, donkeys, goats, and backyard sheep and cattle. Rhiannon is available to provide health checks, hoof trimming, castration, and advice on (as well as administration of) vaccines, trace element/mineral supplements and parasite control. She can provide you with a thorough, personalised health plan for your animal’s needs as well as advice on nutrition and general medicine.
